First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study uses advanced heart scans (coronary CT angiography) to understand why people with rheumatoid arthritis face higher risks of heart disease, lung problems, and depression. Researchers will follow 4,000 participants aged 50-75 for up to 10 years, collecting blood samples, lung tests, and questionnaires. The goal is to improve early detection and prevention of these serious conditions.
