New supplement may boost stomach healing in common bacterial infection

NCT ID NCT07179237

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether a supplement called Carminal, taken alongside standard antibiotics, helps heal the stomach lining better than antibiotics alone in people with H. pylori-related gastritis. About 80 adults with stomach inflammation and indigestion symptoms will be randomly assigned to receive either Carminal or a placebo for 12 weeks after completing antibiotic treatment. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms and look at stomach tissue samples to see if the supplement improves healing.
