First seen Jun 26, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This Phase 2 trial tests whether a dietary supplement called Carminal can help heal the stomach lining and reduce symptoms in people with H. pylori gastritis. Eighty adults will receive either Carminal or a placebo alongside standard antibiotic therapy, followed by 12 weeks of continued supplement use. The study measures symptom improvement and stomach healing through endoscopy and biopsies.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Carminal (dietary supplement containing aloe vera, olive extract, glutamic acid, and zinc)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could provide a safe, natural supplement to help heal stomach damage and reduce symptoms after H. pylori treatment.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small Phase 2 trial with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. As a dietary supplement, its effects may be modest and not replace standard medical therapy.
