Scientists map immune cell invasion in brain disorders
NCT ID NCT03807973
Summary
This study aims to understand how white blood cells enter the brain in conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and multiple sclerosis. Researchers will use special PET/MRI scans with a radioactive tracer to track these cells in 120 participants, including healthy volunteers. The goal is to gather knowledge about brain inflammation that could lead to better future diagnosis and treatment approaches.
