Scientists tag white blood cells to see if they invade the brain

NCT ID NCT03807973

Summary

This study aims to understand if and how white blood cells enter the brain in conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and multiple sclerosis. Researchers will use a special radioactive tracer and PET/MRI scans to track these cells in 120 participants, including healthy volunteers. The goal is to gather knowledge about brain inflammation to potentially improve future diagnosis and treatment, but this study itself does not provide treatment.
