Smart scans keep proton therapy on target for kids with cancer

NCT ID NCT07514819

First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach to proton therapy for 100 children with solid tumors or Hodgkin lymphoma. During treatment, children will get regular low-dose CT or MRI scans to check if the tumor or nearby organs have changed shape. If needed, the treatment plan will be updated to keep the radiation on target and protect healthy tissues. The goal is to learn how often these adjustments are needed and which cancers change the most.
