Summary
This study is testing whether a special 6-week program can help prevent suicide attempts in teenagers who come to the emergency room with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. The program teaches teens skills to manage suicidal thoughts and helps families improve communication. Researchers are comparing this program to standard follow-up care to see which works better at reducing suicide risk over 6 months.
