This study tests whether a special emergency room program can prevent suicide attempts in high-risk teenagers. Researchers will compare a family-centered intervention against standard emergency care for 330 youth ages 12-17 who come to the ER with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. The goal is to see if this focused approach reduces suicide risk events over six months of follow-up.
