New ER program aims to save teen lives from suicide

Summary
This study tests a special suicide prevention program for teens (ages 12-17) who come to the emergency department with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. The program involves the teen and their family and is compared to usual care. Researchers will track whether the program reduces suicide attempts and repeat ER visits over 6 months.
