First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 6-week, self-guided online education program can help Boston Marathon runners with patellofemoral pain (runner's knee) feel better and run better. About 104 runners will be split into two groups: one gets the program before the marathon, the other gets it after. The goal is to see if learning about knee pain online can reduce pain, improve function, and boost marathon performance.
