First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tested whether a progressive outdoor mindful running program, guided by the Headspace app, is feasible and helpful for adults with patellofemoral pain (front knee pain). 18 participants completed a 5-week program that introduced mindfulness and guided mindful running. The study aimed to see if the approach could reduce knee pain, fear of movement, and improve running form. Results will inform larger future studies.
