Summary

This study tests whether adding short foot exercises—which train the small muscles in the foot—to standard hip and knee strengthening can better relieve pain and improve function in women with patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS). Thirty-eight women aged 18 to 45 with PFPS will be randomly assigned to either a combined exercise group or a group doing only hip and knee exercises for six weeks. The goal is to see if the foot-focused approach leads to greater reductions in pain and better knee function.
