First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a web-based tool called WellPrept that gives patients clear information before their urology procedures. Researchers want to see if it helps patients feel more confident and understand their condition better, and if it shortens clinic visits. About 300 men and women having prostate or kidney stone surgery are taking part.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
WellPrept web-based application
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a simple web tool helps patients feel more informed and reduces time spent in clinic visits.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study focused on education, not a new treatment. The web app may not significantly improve outcomes or reduce emergency visits.
