First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding couples counseling to a step-counting program helps people with type 2 diabetes walk more and improve blood sugar. About 200 couples will join. Half will get step counters and step goals from their doctor, plus counseling sessions to improve communication and teamwork. The other half will only get the step counters and goals. Researchers will see if the counseling leads to more steps and better diabetes control.
