NCT ID NCT07241988
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether wearing virtual reality glasses or listening to white noise (rain sounds) can reduce pain and anxiety during IV insertion in adults. 76 participants were randomly assigned to one of three groups: VR, white noise, or standard care. Pain and anxiety were measured right after the procedure. The goal is to find simple, non-drug ways to make this common medical procedure more comfortable.
