NCT ID NCT07018999

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a virtual reality (VR) tour of the operating theatre could reduce anxiety in children before surgery. 114 children who had never had surgery were randomly assigned to either a VR tour or standard preparation. Researchers measured anxiety levels using a standard scale. The goal is to find a non-drug, low-staff way to help kids feel calmer.
