First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles during dental X-rays can help control the gag reflex and reduce anxiety. 30 adults who needed X-rays of their back teeth each had one X-ray with VR and one without. Researchers measured gagging, anxiety, and satisfaction to see if VR made the experience better.
