First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests if the drug vortioxetine can safely reduce depression symptoms in Japanese teenagers aged 12 to 17 with major depressive disorder. About 180 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 14 weeks, with follow-up for 4 more weeks. The goal is to see if the drug improves mood and daily function better than a dummy pill.
