First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 06, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily medication called vortioxetine can safely reduce depression symptoms in Japanese teenagers aged 12 to 17 with major depressive disorder. About 180 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 14 weeks, with follow-up for 4 more weeks. The goal is to see if the drug improves mood and daily function better than a sugar pill.
