VR goggles may ease pain of egg freezing
NCT ID NCT07484815
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests if watching relaxing virtual reality (VR) scenes before an egg retrieval procedure can lower pain. One hundred women having elective egg freezing will either get standard care or standard care plus a VR relaxation session. Pain levels are measured with a simple 0-10 scale after the procedure. If effective, VR could offer a safe, drug-free way to improve comfort during this common fertility treatment.
