Virtual reality goggles could replace pain pills for kidney stone patients

Summary
This study tests whether wearing a virtual reality headset during a common kidney stone procedure (ESWL) can lower pain and anxiety. About 72 adults will be randomly assigned to either standard care or standard care plus VR. The goal is to see if VR can distract patients enough to reduce the need for pain medication.
