Virtual reality goggles calm kids during cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07537062

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether wearing virtual reality glasses before a spinal chemotherapy procedure can lower anxiety, fear, and improve heart rate and breathing in children aged 4 to 10 with cancer. Twenty children will be split into two groups: one group uses the VR glasses, and the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if a simple, non-drug distraction can make a scary procedure easier for young patients.
