Video education may ease prostate biopsy fears

NCT ID NCT07156747

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether showing patients a dynamic video before a prostate biopsy could lower their pain and anxiety compared to just verbal instructions or static images. 223 men aged 50-80 with elevated PSA levels participated. Pain was measured with a Visual Analog Scale and anxiety with the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory before and after the procedure.
