First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether using a vibrating device or a cooling spray before a corticosteroid injection reduces pain compared to no numbing method. About 165 adults with arthritis, tendinopathy, or nerve compression in the hand, wrist, or elbow will rate their pain during the injection. The goal is to find the most comfortable way to give these common shots.
