First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study aims to understand why vein grafts used in heart bypass surgery sometimes fail, leading to heart attacks or strokes. Researchers will use advanced total-body PET scans to look at inflammation and clotting inside the grafts. The study will involve 70 adults who recently had bypass surgery or had it more than 5 years ago. The goal is to find better ways to prevent graft failure in the future.
