Summary
This study tested a program where rural hospitals connect with an infectious disease expert through video calls to improve antibiotic use. The goal was to reduce unnecessary antibiotics and fight drug-resistant infections. Eight VA medical centers participated, and the approach had already shown success at two earlier sites.
