First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how much of the antibiotic vancomycin gets into the blood when it is given through the bone before knee replacement surgery. Thirty adults having their first knee replacement will receive the antibiotic through a needle in the bone, and blood samples will be taken during surgery to measure levels. The goal is to learn more about how this method works to prevent infection.
