Old heart pressure data may speed up lung clot detection

NCT ID NCT07641400

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether comparing a patient's previous pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) reading with one taken during an ER visit can help doctors quickly identify a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung). Researchers will review records of 80 adults who come to the ER with shortness of breath and are suspected of having a clot. The goal is to improve early risk assessment without extra tests.
