Sit-Down scans could revolutionize prostate cancer detection

NCT ID NCT03474913

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, more comfortable upright MRI scanner works as well as the standard enclosed MRI for detecting prostate cancer. Researchers will compare both types of scans in 550 men at risk for prostate cancer over about 5 years. The goal is to see if the upright scanner, which may reduce anxiety and claustrophobia, can accurately find cancer while improving the patient experience.
