Summary
This study watched and interviewed 22 pairs of people with Parkinson's disease (who have trouble swallowing) and their caregivers during meals. The goal was to describe the verbal and non-verbal strategies used to help the person eat safely and with pleasure. No new treatments were tested; instead, the research aimed to better understand what works during assisted feeding.
