Summary
This study looked at whether an ultrasound of the leg veins can help doctors diagnose a repeat pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung). About 115 adults with symptoms of a new clot were checked. The goal was to see if adding leg ultrasound to the usual tests (like blood work and chest scans) makes diagnosis more accurate. The results could lead to better, faster decisions for patients.
