Brain cancer breakthrough? ultrasound device trial aims to boost drug power

NCT ID NCT06496971

First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 19, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing if using a focused ultrasound device (NaviFUS System) along with a standard cancer drug (Avastin) works better than the drug alone for adults with recurrent glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain tumor. The ultrasound is meant to help the drug reach the tumor more effectively. The main goal is to see if the combination keeps the cancer from growing for a longer period.
