Blood tests and surveys may predict cancer spread
NCT ID NCT04776837
First seen May 23, 2026 ยท Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 159 people with advanced colorectal, pancreatic, biliary, or esophageal cancers to see if simple blood tests (tumor markers and liquid biopsies) and patient-reported symptoms could predict whether the cancer would get worse. Researchers compared changes in these measures one month after starting treatment to the first scan results. The goal was to find better ways to monitor disease without relying solely on scans.
