Are doctors missing hidden cancer clues? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07345273

First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether doctors are properly reporting small cancer spots called tumor deposits in people with rectal cancer. These spots can show if the cancer is more aggressive and might need extra treatment like chemo or radiation. Researchers will compare reports from before and after 2018, when new guidelines were introduced, to see if reporting has improved.
