NCT ID NCT07133386
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether the TriClip device, which repairs a leaky tricuspid valve without open surgery, can improve daily life for people with severe tricuspid regurgitation. 150 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the TriClip or a placebo procedure. The main goal is to see if those who get the device report better health status after one year.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
TriClip device (transcatheter edge-to-edge repair)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new, less invasive option to improve quality of life for people with severe tricuspid regurgitation.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small, early-stage trial with a placebo control, so results may not confirm benefit. The procedure also carries risks like bleeding or device complications.
