New study to measure drug levels in breast milk of moms on TREMFYA

NCT ID NCT07654751

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will measure how much of the drug TREMFYA (guselkumab) passes into breast milk of 10 nursing women who are already taking it for conditions like psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease. Researchers will collect milk samples to estimate the daily dose a baby might receive. The goal is to provide better information for mothers who need this medication while breastfeeding.

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could provide important safety information for breastfeeding women who need TREMFYA for conditions like psoriasis or Crohn's disease.

What could go wrong

This is a very small study (10 participants) that only measures drug levels in milk, not infant health outcomes. It cannot determine if the drug is safe for babies.
