First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new, non-invasive brain stimulation called transcranial pulse stimulation (TPS) for people with major depression. 80 adults received either real TPS or a sham treatment over six weeks. The goal was to see if TPS can safely reduce depressive symptoms, offering a new option for those who don't respond to standard treatments.
