First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at how different toilet sitting styles (squatting vs. sitting) affect ankle flexibility, constipation, and leg strength in school children aged 6-12. Researchers will measure ankle motion, leg power, and constipation symptoms in 191 kids who use either squat or sitting toilets. The goal is to understand if traditional squat toilets offer health benefits over modern sitting toilets.
