First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether tocilizumab, a drug that blocks inflammation, can help people with major depression who have lost interest or pleasure in things (anhedonia). About 20 adults with depression and signs of immune activation will receive the drug for 8 weeks, while 20 healthy people provide comparison data. The goal is to see if the drug improves brain reward activity and reduces symptoms.
