Summary

This study looked at 385 adults diagnosed with their first lung or head & neck cancer to see how many continued using tobacco or alcohol over the next year. Researchers tracked smoking and drinking habits, as well as how long patients lived without the cancer getting worse. The goal was to understand which factors make it harder to quit, to help design better support programs.
