Global jaw joint registry aims to unlock secrets of replacement surgery

Summary

This study is creating a global registry to collect information on patients who receive an artificial total jaw joint (TMJ) replacement. It will follow about 200 patients for up to 5 years after their surgery to track pain, jaw function, quality of life, and any complications. The registry will also record why some patients who need this surgery choose to refuse it, helping doctors better understand patient decisions and treatment outcomes.
