Summary

This study looked at whether mesotherapy — injecting anti-inflammatory medicine into the skin near the jaw — can help people with chronic jaw muscle pain. Twenty-two adults with myofascial pain syndrome received treatment over 4 weeks. Researchers measured pain levels and how wide they could open their mouths before and after treatment.
