Real-Time MRI captures jaw joint motion to unlock TMJ disorder mysteries

NCT ID NCT06070558

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study uses a special real-time MRI technique to watch how the jaw joint moves in healthy people and in those with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. By comparing the motion patterns, researchers hope to better understand what goes wrong in TMJ disorders. The study involves 60 adults who will undergo an MRI scan while moving their jaw.
