Summary
This study tested two methods of a procedure called arthrocentesis (washing out the jaw joint) in 30 adults with TMJ disorders. The goal was to see which technique better reduces pain and improves mouth opening. Participants had their pain-free mouth opening measured and rated their pain on a 1-10 scale. The results help doctors choose the best approach for relieving TMJ symptoms.
