First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving the drug tirofiban during stent procedures for unruptured brain aneurysms can reduce small blood clots in the brain compared to standard anti-clot medication. 192 adults aged 18-80 who needed a stent or flow diverter for an unruptured aneurysm took part. The goal was to see if tirofiban leads to fewer new brain lesions on MRI scans after the procedure.
