Timing is everything: new trial seeks best moment for blood thinners after stroke
NCT ID NCT07139314
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at the best time to start blood thinners in people with atrial fibrillation who had a stroke and then emergency treatment to remove a clot. Some patients develop bleeding in the brain after the procedure, and doctors want to know if starting blood thinners early or waiting is safer and more effective. The trial will enroll 240 adults and track strokes, bleeding, and death over 90 days.
