First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This trial studies whether removing blood clots from heart arteries during angioplasty improves outcomes for people who have had a major heart attack. 3500 participants will be randomly assigned to get either clot removal plus angioplasty or angioplasty alone. The main goal is to see if the procedure reduces the risk of death, another heart attack, stroke, or heart failure within 30 days.
