Phone therapy trial aims to curb veteran suicide crisis
NCT ID NCT04763330
Summary
This study tested whether a brief phone therapy could help reduce suicidal thoughts and increase reasons for living in older Veterans. It compared standard VA safety planning alone to safety planning plus a therapy focused on problem-solving skills. The goal was to see if this approach could better support Veterans aged 55+ who were struggling with depression, anxiety, or PTSD.
