First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at how tiny electrical pulses to a deep brain area (the thalamus) change sleep-related brain waves. Researchers will monitor 50 patients who already have brain electrodes for medical reasons. The goal is to learn how current brain stimulation treatments affect sleep and to pave the way for new sleep-improving therapies.
