First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a biologic drug called tezepelumab (Tezspire) in 181 adults with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps who are eligible for surgery. Participants receive injections every 4 weeks for 24 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug reduces nasal congestion and other sinus symptoms, potentially offering a non-surgical treatment option.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

tezepelumab (Tezspire), a biologic injection

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a new option to relieve stuffy nose and sinus symptoms without surgery for people with nasal polyps.

What could go wrong

This is a single-arm study with no placebo group, so results may be less reliable. It is also a short 24-week treatment period, so long-term benefits or risks are unknown.
