Summary

This study tested a text messaging program designed to lower the risk of major depression in pregnant and new mothers. 40 women who were at risk but not currently depressed received tailored texts with links to helpful content and a chat feature to talk with other participants. The goal was to see if this easy-to-use tool could reduce depressive symptoms and improve feelings of confidence and support.
